This delicious recipe is simple, but it is listed among the most popular Spanish egg dishes. Most people prefer eggs as breakfast. But in Spain, eggs are consumed not only as a resort for breakfast but even at lunch, dinner and surprisingly as desserts too. It is a dish made with eggs with the yolk to be punctured at the time of eating.
Healthy morning porridge
Ingredients :
For the oatmeal:
- 90g old-fashioned oats
- 240 ml milk (use vegetable milk to make it vegan)
- 240 ml water
- 1 pinch salt
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp agave or maple syrup
For serving:
- 1 pear, cored, sliced and divided
- 2 tbsp cashew butter, divided
- 1 tsp sesame seeds, divided
- 4 dates, divided
- 2 tsp freshly ground flaxseeds, divided
Preparation:
- Combine oats, milk, water, salt, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
- Simmer uncovered for 3 to 5 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Divide equally between two bowls. Spoon cashew butter and ½ sliced pear over each serving, then sprinkle sesame on top and add a few dates if desired. Grind flaxseed at the last minute with our Naka mill over each bowl, and enjoy.
