An easy and quick to prepare dessert recipe. Accompanied by vanilla ice cream, this dessert will delight the taste buds of all your guests.
Vanilla and Passion Fruit Crème Brûlée
Ingredients:
- 400ml of coconut milk (or single cream)
- 2 passion fruits
- 1 vanilla pod
- 3 egg yolks
- 40 g of unrefined white sugar
Preparation:
- In a saucepan, scoop out the passion fruits. Add the coconut milk and the scraped vanilla pod.
- Mix and heat the mixture over low heat until it starts to simmer, for 5 to 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with the unrefined cane sugar.
- Place a fine mesh sieve over the bowl and strain the coconut milk mixture into it. Mix everything together.
- Place the “For You” ramekins in a large dish. Fill them with the crème brûlée mixture, then fill the large dish with water.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 110 degrees Celsius for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- At the end of the cooking time, let the crèmes cool for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Once set, sprinkle some sugar on the surface of the crèmes and burn them using a blowtorch.
