Quick & Easy Caramelized Pears Recipe

Ingredients for 4 persons

  • 4 small, not too ripe pears
  • Butter
  • Brown sugar
  • vanilla ice cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper




  1. Peel the pears and cut them into quarters.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high. Add pears
  3. Add a little bit of salt and pepper with a salt mill and a pepper mill
  4. When the pears start to brown, add sugar. Right about now it will start to take on some color. Start to stir for 2 to 3 minutes more until dark amber in color.
  5. Remove from the heat and carefully add the quarters of pear in a plate
  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
